Description
Wetsel Seed™ White Moonflower Seed
2.2g Packet
A vigorous, easy-to-grow vine with spectacular night-blooming flowers. Pure white and silky, the delightfully fragrant flowers are 5 to 6” (13-15 cm.) across and resemble enormous Morning Glories. Flowers open in the evening and last until the next morning. Plant near a porch, patio or a window where the flowers can be appreciated; useful as a summertime screen on arbors.
Grow in full rich sun, loose soil amended with organic matter. Before sowing, place seeds in tepid water and soak overnight. For earliest blossoms, start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last expected Spring frost. Sow 2 seeds per pot, using lightweight sterilized soil mix. Place seedlings in full sun to avoid stretching. Harden a few days before carefully transplanting to the garden. May also sow directly in the garden after danger of frost. Provide tall, sturdy support. Water deeply every 10 days if rainfall isn't adequate. Fertilize when flowers first form. Pinch shoot tips if plants get too tall.
