The ideal cucumber! This variety grows to an average of 8.5" in length with 2.5"diameter. They mature over a long harvest period but they are well worth the wait with a delightful, crisp flavor. Select a sunny, well-drained location and sow seed in the late spring when the soil is warm, and all danger of frost is past. For earlier crop, start indoors 4-6 weeks before setting out. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed. Keep soil moist, and feed monthly. Tie vines on trellis to save space. Pick at any size up to 6-8 in./15-20 cm. and before fruit color begins to turn yellow. Pick regularly so fruit will continue to form.
