Description

Long-Term, Preventive Pest Control Using Predatory Mites

Amblyline is one of the biological control products in the market which makes use of Amblyseius cucumeris, a predatory mite capable of controlling a number of pest species such as the larvae of thrips. Amblyline caters to vegetable, ornamental or horticultural crops, providing reliable, preventive control that integrates seamlessly into integrated pest management (IPM) systems.

Amblyline's usage prevents the establishment of pest populations by feeding on the early larval forms of thrips and other soft-bodied pests, ensuring no crop damage occurs. In the absence of pests, Amblyline’s ability to survive on pollen guarantees ongoing presence and predation within the crop, improving long-term protection.

Amblyline is adaptable, sustainable, and works with other biological methods. These factors make Amblyline the go to product in modern pest control systems aimed at enhanced rural development.

How Amblyline Works

Predatory Mite Amblyseius Cucumeris Lifecycle
Amblyline works wonders when its predatory mites are synchronized with the lifecycle of common pests. Amblyseius cucumeris completes its lifecycle from egg to adult in 6-9 days at a temperature of 75 F (24°C). At this temperature, Amblyseius cucumeris is also a voracious feeder and will readily consume first instar (L1) thrips larvae.

This initial stage of feeding not only prevents development of infestations, but also shortens the life cycle of the pest at its most vulnerable stage. The mites also consume portions of pollen, which enables their populations to remain active even when there is minimal pressure from the pests.

Optimal Conditions

Achieves best results between 66-80°F

Performs well at 65-75% relative humidity

Active year-round due to non-diapause behavior

Can sustain populations in the absence of prey due to feeding on pollen.

Amblyline’s lack of seasonal pause means these mites are efficient throughout the year and during different crop cycles, making them reliable for constant and uninterrupted pest control.

Target Pests

Effective Against Key Threats

Amblyline is specifically tailored for the control of:

Western Flower Thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis)

Chili Thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis)

Broad Mites

Cyclamen Mites

Amblyline stops these pests from growing past the early life stages which prevents crop damage and minimize yield losses. This makes Amblyline a great resource for preventive pest control.

Flexible Delivery Systems

Engineered For Every Growing Environment

Amblyline offers a range of application types to meet the requirements of every crop configuration, from propagation trays to large greenhouse setups.

Controlled Release Sachets (CRS): Ideal for commercial operation is self-sustaining breeding colonies.

Mini Sachets: These are smaller and perfect for crops with non-overlapping canopies.

Gemini Sachets: Designed for overhead irrigation, these twin compartments allow for consistent mite release.

Sachets on a Stick: Perfect for propagation trays and plug pots; easy to place.

Bugline and New Generation Bugline: These are long strips intended for mechanical application over large areas.

Loose Material (Tubes and Bags): 1L tubes (25,000 mites) or 5L bags (125,000 mites), high-dose solutions available in.

With these methods of delivery, growers are able to adjust Amblyline to different crop developmental stages and environmental conditions.

Handling and Use Instructions

Using Amblyline effectively requires proper handling of the product:

Sachets on a Stick:

Tear open, place one stick per tray or pot

Position approximately 1/8'' above the growth medium

Mites will steadily emerge for 4 to 8 weeks

CRS, Mini & Gemini sachets:

Avoid placement around heat sources or direct sunlight.

Put the sachets directly in the center of plant canopy.

Mites will be released from the sachet for 6 weeks.

Loose Material:

During transport, cool and keep the material horizontal.

Avoid sunlight.

Gently rotate the container prior to opening.

Distribute mites as evenly as possible over the cropping area.

Storage Instructions

Keep ventilated and remove from direct sunlight.

Keep between 10 to 15 degrees celcius.

Maintain humidity above 65%

Do not focus on the box.

Best within 18 hours.

Recommendations

Amblyline is the most sustainable and proactive option when it comes to managing pests like thrips and soft-bodied pests across several crops. It's year long effectiveness, flexible adaptability and ability for early intervention make it very useful and critical for pest management.

Amblyline is effective for small scale growers, large commercial operations and gives soft, safe residue free pest control with very little labor. Amblyline will ensure reliable protection with minimal chemicals needed, whether in full scale production or during propagation.

Integrate Amblyline with its compliment biocontrol agents to enhance multi-modal pest management strategies. Apply population monitoring on a schedue, Implement preventive measures, and modify application forms as crops progress to ensure sustained efficiency throughout growth stages.
