Texas state flower. A dainty little plant looks like sheets of royal-blue in the early spring. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Although it is an annual it can reseed itself. It may take several years to establish a good stand of bluebonnets but once they are established, bluebonnets will reseed and reappear each spring.
