The candy sorting machine is designed to sort hard and filled sweets, sugar coated products, chewing gum, and confectionery in rectangular, round, and oval shapes. The sorting evaluates the thickness of the candy and rejects those that are over-formed, under-formed, or de-shaped. To accommodate a variety of goods, the thickness can be manually adjusted.

Candies that are larger than the predetermined size are discharged into the lower container. The sorted and size-appropriate candies are then moved ahead, where they can be collected in containers or automatically delivered to the wrapping equipment through a special transfer conveyor. As a standard practice all contact-parts are made of stainless steel.

For over 95 years, Latini-Hohberger Dhimantec, based in Elmhurst, IL, USA, has been supplying complete candy manufacturing and packaging machines for the confectionery manufacturing industry in over 50 countries.
