Nano-Yield™: A Success Story Three Generations in the Making

Nano-Yield's journey began in 1979 when T.H. Bell acquired 40 acres of sagebrush in Utah County, intending for his sons to transform it into a sod farm to fund their college education and church missions. T.H. and his wife, Betty, believed in the value of hard work and teamwork for their sons.

Warren Bell, in particular, was passionate about cultivating high-quality crops. He developed the family farm into a thriving business, all while T.H. served as Ronald Reagan’s Secretary of Education in Washington D.C. Despite economic challenges, Warren pursued agricultural studies, upgraded the farm’s infrastructure, and expanded its operations.

Inspired by his father’s dedication, Warren’s son, Clark, also joined the family business. As an entrepreneur, Clark was intrigued by a friend’s use of nanotechnology in dry cleaning and pondered its potential for agriculture. The trials Warren conducted showed remarkable improvements over industry standards.

This innovation led Warren and Clark to collaborate with Fraser and Mike Bullock, investors enthusiastic about science-based enterprises. They established Aqua-Yield and formed an international investor group, including sod growers from Australia, Canada, Norway, and South Africa. The company filed its first patent and discovered new liquid nano applications for agriculture.

Strategic hires have been crucial to Aqua-Yield's success. Dr. Landon Bunderson has led research and development, driving significant discoveries and additional patents. The company has also benefited from hiring industry experts in sales and operations.

Today, Aqua-Yield is the world’s leading nanoliquid company for agricultural production. T.H. and Betty would be proud to see the global impact of the seeds they planted over 40 years ago.
