Description
Nematode Usage Instructions:
- Nematode activity is influenced by soil temperature. For optimal activity, soil temperature should range between 57°F and 85°F. Nematodes remain active below 57°F, but the associated bacteria only become effective above this threshold. Soil temperatures exceeding 86°F can be harmful to S. feltiae.
- Apply at intervals of 7-14 days.
- Ensure the pH of the growing media is between 3 and 8, and that it is moist before and after application.
Application Instructions:
- Mix one 50 million pack per 30-50 gallons/1,000ft² (115-190 liters/100m²).
- Empty packs into a large bucket, add water (approximately 70°F), and mix thoroughly.
- Rinse the bucket contents into the sprayer tank using a standard sieve.
- Add the required volume of additional water to the sprayer. Continuously agitate the tank contents during application.
- Once mixed with water, use the nematodes immediately.
- Consider adding a wetting agent to improve effectiveness.
- Apply in high humidity conditions for foliar applications.
- Use a nozzle opening of at least one millimeter to provide a coarse spray pattern.
- For ornamentals under cover, spray around plant roots onto the growing media.
- After application to the growing media, lightly irrigate from above to wash the nematodes into the soil. Avoid soaking the media, which can wash the nematodes out of the pots.
Storage and Transport:
- Store Entonem in a refrigerator at 41°F. Do not freeze.
- Check the expiration date on the pack and use it before it expires.
- Avoid direct sunlight on the container.
- Upon receipt, remove the outer packaging and ensure good air circulation around each pack.
- Use the entire package contents at once; do not subdivide packs as each contains a measured dose of nematodes.
