This exquisite renovation is a perfect example of Searle Design Group's commitment to providing quality landscaping and garden design. This exemplifies the balance between elegance and utility in creating an outdoor space that allows the homeowners to enjoy their garden. The scope of work is all-inclusive with an innovative site-specific design that features a broad spectrum of plants that are a mix of native and select ornamentals that exhibit durability and beauty. The stone path draws the eye, as it wends its way through the lush plantings, finally revealing the magnificent patio surface covered in custom-cut bluestone, nearly all of it harvested and fabricated on-site. The artful detailing of the stone provided an aesthetic and durable surface for the outdoor dining area. Site grading, and plant placement, provided relief to the topography of a terraced site, but required two raised garden beds to provide proper drainage and plant health. Furthermore, Searle's plans integrated a well-designed irrigation system, providing efficient watering to every teaspoon of soil, while minimizing water waste. Adding to the character of the landscaping was the installation of a visually stunning water feature, which functioned as a focal point, provided soothing sounds, and attracted birds and other wildlife. Additionally, the landscaping design included a well-planned and strategically placed lighting design, enabling the landscape to be enjoyed at night around the patio. The end result is an extraordinary landscape that reflects the client's dreams and enhances the value of the property.
