Ventura View Backyard Scarlett's Landscape, Inc. is excited to present the 'Ventura View Backyard', an exceptional landscape that showcases our attention to detail and passion for landscape architecture. Located in Ventura, this special came with its own unique challengesa steep slope and limited access to the backyard. Our team worked diligently through the design to ultimately create a multi-level landscape, that not only provides visual interest, but incorporates function to the outdoor living space. Natural unique stone retaining walls were utilized to create levels, incorporating locally sourced materials to ensure harmony with the surrounding area. A lovely flagstone patio in the middle of the backyard provides a wonderful space to relax and entertain while enjoying the stunning sunsets over the hills. By using plants that were colorful, drought-tolerant and low maintenance, we created a year-round beauty, while also promoting sustainability. To address the drainage issues that occur within sloped yards, we incorporated a comprehensive irrigation system, composed of drip lines and rain gardens to effectively address water run-off and plant growth. The end result was a beautiful backyard landscape that features native plants again, a fire pit, and seating areaall of which took advantage of the beautiful views. Upon completion, the delighted clients appreciated the attention to detail within the and the service provided by our staff from start to finish.
