Located in the center of Webster, this gave us the chance to improve our clients' outdoor living experience while considering the challenges of the property. The landscape design includes a skillful blend of native plants, which we selected specifically because we know they will thrive in the local climate for years to come, providing sustainability and low maintenance. We incorporated rich varieties of ferns, flowering perennials, and ornamental grasses that provide year-round color and texture. A bluestone, specifically selected from a local quarry, makes up the main landscape feature: a custom stone pathway. This pathway is designed to last while still being aesthetically pleasing, providing a rustic feel as it meanders through the garden. While working on this , we also considered the challenge of the site slope. We created terraced flower beds due to the inclination of the yard, which helped prevent soil erosion while maximizing planting space! Our team created a natural appearance with a series of natural stone walls, providing structural support for the plant beds while adding to the detailing of the landscape. To enhance the outdoor living experience of our clients even more, we provided a small lounge area complete with a custom fire pit, perfect for entertaining on a cool evening! The seating area is bordered with fragrant lavender and summer annual color. In the end, the Fernwood Lane resulted in a fully-wholesome landscape that the client envisioned while integrating the property features as to not take away from its natural beauty. When we show our clients the final product and let them engage with their landscaping, they are in awe of the landscape restoration, calm retreat, and outdoor gathering space we created.
