Pixies Landscape by LandCurrent Landscape Architects The 'Pixies Landscape' is an incredible example of what LandCurrent Landscape Architects can accomplish in the midst of an energetic community. Covering locations from Aloha to Eugene, we took on the challenge of transforming an everday backyard into a fantastical oasis that could both be enjoyed for its artistry and blend with nature. At the forefront of the design, various native plant species promote sustainable re-vegetation with lower water usage, while simultaneously creating a lush appearance based upon each season's revival. The hand selected stone pathways, comprised of locally sourced basalt, blend perfectly with each garden space while providing durability. Our installation of a captivating water feature laced with a gently flowing stream that falls into a glistening pond, provided not only tranquil aesthetics, but animals from the local ecosystem enjoyed the landscape immensely. One of the most substantial challenges our team faced within the was the site's slope. Through strategic grading, we created a terraced arrangement that allowed for a range of planting options while also creating visually engaging vistas. The various tiered arrangements and planting also separated the backyard into useable spaces, allowing the homeowners move from one characteristic to another while utilizing the backyard for various gatherings. The result is a beautiful outdoor oasis that begs to be examined around every corner. The blend of whimsical garden art and inviting seating has become a family-friendly social space and cozy getaway all in one! Our client was ecstatic with the results complimenting us on our unmatched attention to detail and the ability to meld both natural elements and art while creating a retreat in their backyard.
