A winding pathway of locally sourced flagstone allows the visitors to experience the fullness of nature in a tough, beautiful surface worth walking on. Additionally, the tranquil water feature adds to the garden's peaceful quality and serves as a habitat for local wildlife, thereby enhancing biodiversity in the Portland urban ecosystem. We encountered challenges throughout the , among them were drainage patterns that had to be respected and soil health that could improve.
