About This Project

Potting Shed with Green Roof Back to Nature Home & Garden take great joy in utilising that outdoor area, with both function and aesthetics to create a more beautiful home. Together with our craftsmanship and design, we have launched a new recently, the 'Potting Shed with Living Roof' available for clients all over Bedminster, Berkeley Heights, Bernardsville and further on as well. It started with a dream of doing gardening with a purpose and to achieve sustainability with sustainability. A beautiful potting shed with a living roof was both a vital biodiversity space and increases insulation and rainwater absorbance. The roof is planted with a selection of locally hardy and drought-tolerant sedums and native plants for year-round foliage in our climate and minimal care. We had this vision in mind but needed to solve some problems before we could implement it, such as how to build a shed that blended in to the landscape and what materials we would need to ensure that the weight of the living roof did not exceed that of the shed. We spanned using great quality cedar timber, which is impervious to decaying very quickly, but also pretty overall. We also used energy-efficient windows that allowed great natural light but kept the overall eco-friendly vibe of the shed. The end product is a gorgeous and functional potting shed that captures our client/friends love of gardening and sustainability! Nestled among colorful flower gardens and herb gardens, this potting shed turned has blossomed into a beautiful nook for planting and nurturing plants. Our thrilled client was pleased with the shed's original design and how well it fits in with their landscape, offering function while keeping it pretty. Back to Nature Home & Garden is excited to keep bringing s like these to fruition, while improving their outdoor lifestyle in their service areas around Chatham, Chester and Morristown.
