Design by Teddy's Lawn & Landscape At Teddy's Lawn & Landscape, we are passionate designing outdoor spaces that capture our clients' unique visions and ideas, and this 'Design,' showcased our love of value, design and quality work for the areas we serve from Allen Park, Berkley, Canton, and many more. Our is a complete renovation of a residential backyard in Westland, and the client's wish was to design an oasis that met both functional and aesthetic value. We started by implementing some base construction and design elements to the landscape that included some challenges; the existing landscape was uneven, there was limited sunlight due to some structures nearby, and the old concrete patio was unappealing. To address these, our team of professionals focused heavily on best practices with quality products. We utilized natural drought resistant plant material (that thrive in some partial shade), and local stone pavers for a beautiful and functional patio area. A multi-tiered garden bed construction created a multi-level aesthetic while adding value to ecosystem health and drainage and soil health. Planting only native plant material/drought resistant plants provided an opportunity to have beautiful blooms native to our region, while only needing minimal maintenance. One of the best features of the was the addition of a beautiful water feature that had a top-notch waterfall and pond, which became the centerpiece of the backyard and provided a beautiful sound element; it was also fun for the kids and better added to the ecosystem with was already present. The lighting design and installation that we provided showed attention to detail, as we illuminated the pathways and highlighted the beautiful plant material for daytime and nighttime enjoyment of the space. We experienced some challenges with some rain and needing the grade just right to meet less section draining issues. But we brought a professional solution and our experience to the challenge. The end product was just stunning; an outdoor retreat. The client raved their new backyard and how much they love to be out in it with friends and family; it was the design they had hoped for, and we considered it another success and accomplishment in creating value and joy in our landscape. At Teddy's, landscaping isn't simply an art of creating beauty; it's creating a world of enjoyment or peace in our clients lives. This is another example of our professional quality craftsmanship and our love to turn a vision to a reality.
