The Fburg Residence by Native Roots Landscape Located in Fredericksburg, Texas, the Fburg Residence demonstrates the craftsmanship and professionalism for which Native Roots Landscape is known. The involved remodeling an average suburban backyard into a mesmerizing outdoor escape, which meshes with the natural landscape of the Texas Hill Country. The was an entire landscape design that included native plants and sustainable materials and maintained a drought-resistant landscape. A diverse installation of native wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and resilient shrubs were installed by our experienced team to ensure that the owners had a plant palette that could withstand the climate and attract wildlife. Local sourced limestone boulders were arranged on the property to provide a rustic aesthetic and dressed the site, while also providing soil retention within a porous material to address drainage issues onsite. One of the more ambitious features of the Fburg Residence included the ability to install a custom stone patio that raised above the yard. This patio serves as a focal point for gatherings outdoors with family and friends. Using stone that was quarried locally, the stone patio was installed where the stone echoed organic shapes found in the landscape. The patio is embellished by beautiful flower beds and undoubtedly they bloom specifically for each season that passes. The involved a great deal of uneven slopes and various grades within the yard, and our team was able to address drainage and aesthetically create space with grading. Trees and shrubbery were wisely positioned so that they create shade or privacy to allow homeowners to enjoy their outdoor private backyard oasis. We are extremely proud of the overall cohesive landscape we have created for the homeowner, where each day invites the homeowner to enjoy their yard and delight in the aspects of nature.
