Work of Architecture Smith Residence Landscaping by Aedan Workshop Then you are in the right place because here at Aedan Workshop, we have a concept of converting outdoor areas into stunning landscapes and providing aesthetically pleasing and functional areas. The Smith Residence located in downtown Apex, is a recent example of our high quality, innovative landscaping. This particular , called the Smith Residence, was not without its challenges the relatively steep terrain and multitude of soil conditions (the property was on a hill). The detail involves our expertise we took a close look at the landscape and planned on how we can merge out plan with the natural contour of the land. Our design was also based on a selection of naturalised plants that adapt to the climate in the vicinity and contribute to biodiversity and sustainability. The includes a variety of stunning stone hardscape elements, including custom stone pathways and a gorgeous retaining wall built with local granite. These features not only stabilizes the slopes, they also beautifully compliment the design. The site slope makes stormwater management a challenge, so we chose permeable pavers for proper drainage. We planted these perennial gardens full of colorful plants with blooms throughout the seasons to help beautify the landscape. With a small pond and a falling fountain, a tranquil water feature was installed, and finally, it provides a pleasant mood for enthusiastic relaxation. As we continued the , we kept the channels of communication open with the Smith family to ensure we were implementing their vision as well as sharing our knowledge. The end result is simply mind-blowing, illustrating a perfect fusion of aesthetic appeal and functionality, giving the Smith family their very own outdoor retreat to enjoy for years to come.
