About This Project

Blissful Gardens & Green Dragon Design Tarrytown Located in the center of Tarrytown, This landscaping combines the nature and art together that is made by Blissful Gardens & Green Dragon Design. We partnered with the incredible communities in Austin, Barton Creek, Hays and more to create a beautiful outdoor retreat out of this residential property. The Tarrytown boasts an artfully crafted site plan inclusive of native plant gardens, tasteful stone walkways, and a water feature that draws the eye as the landscape's focal point. Through the substantial use of local materials (like Texas limestone for the hardscaping), we avoided using plastic and ensured that any needed hardscaping would fit with durability too, minimizing the environmental footprint and blending those areas with nature. The property consisted of a sloping site, which we converted into a terraced garden. We also introduced retaining walls and terraced flower beds to break up the space and provide some useable area. Thoughtful drought-tolerant plant choices beautify landscapes with sustainable options that compliment our devotion to green building practices. The end product is a stunning expanse that blends naturally with the residence and offers vitally necessary spaces for relaxation and entertaining. The clients loved it and had their new outdoor experience, complete with seating areas, flowers blooming, and bubbling water over stones. This did not only enhance the curb appeal of the property, but created a new space that is an escape for the clients to enjoy throughout the seasons.
