Image 1 of 223: Blank Slate Landscape - Lee's Summit, MO We took this blank canvas and created an outdoor getaway for our clients at Monumental Lawn & Outdoor LLC located in Lee's Summit,MO. The Blank Slate Landscape was an exciting challenge where we were able to demonstrate our skills in developing custom functional spaces. Our original assessment was with the very large yard that was uninspiring and underused. We worked with the homeowners to visualize what they wanted, and introduced some other things that we thought could be useful from an aesthetics and functionality point of view. With careful planning we built a holistic design that ties together native plants, graceful hardscapes, and features to runoff sustainably. We executed this vision with high-quality materials: local stone for the patio and pathways, composite decking, and mulch. The problems that the encountered included its rough ground and pre-existing drainage problems. By employing an engineered grading plan and an efficient drainage system, our team was able to solve these problems and provide a landscape that will be sustainable and functional for years to come. And the end results? Simply stunning. The new outdoor space includes a large, entertainment-sized patio and colourful flower beds that flower like crazy! year-round.
