About This Project

Family Pizza Night by Monumental Lawn & Outdoor LLC Monumental Lawn & Outdoor LLC specializes in four seasons of outdoor family living. One case study of a few that will help us highlight what we do between our construction and landscaping teams is part of a recent called Family Pizza Night inside the thriving community of Overland Park. It started as a shiny, happy little vision: a warm and inviting outdoor space to congregate for pizza night with the family under the stars. It was a blank canvas to begin with, battling with a sloping garden and bad drainage. Our design specialists crafted a multi-level patio with high-end natural stone pavers that offered beauty and functionality. A built-in brick pizza oven with a granite countertop formed the heart of the outdoor kitchen, making meal prep and entertaining a breeze. We wanted a viable habitat, so chose native plants grasses and perennials that add color and texture in the growing season, but also work for winter interest, with grasses having structural forms and nature providing the rest. Nestled among cozy seating, a custom fire pit provides warmth and ambiance for late-night gatherings. Additionally, we incorporated energy-efficient LED light to showcase pathways and enchant the property into the evening with natural light as the sun goes down. The finished product blew our client out of the water when the process was finished, as they received an absolutely beautiful outdoor space. However, Family Pizza Night is back on the calendar as their backyard has been transformed into an extra room of their home where the work their family put into the re-energized those long-standing traditions.
