John Madison Landscape - Steps The 'John Madison Landscape - Steps' is a spectacular renovation that was realized in the heart of Meadow Woods, Oak Ridge, and Orlando, Florida. The intention of this was to beautify and increase the functionality of a residence through the construction of a set of custom stone steps that works cooperatively with the surrounding landscape. Our team of professionals utilized natural stone, planned to last for many years, and meticulously selected for attractiveness, functionality, and a natural tie-in to the architectural style of the home. A number of wide, elegant steps were designed, and on each side placed lush, native plantings, framing narrow paths that lead back to the front of the house. One of the main challenges we faced was that the terrain sloped downwards, which meant that we needed to create slope, and at the same time, a safe and durable structure for the steps. With all consideration for sloped terrain, we engineered the steps and surrounding planting for proper drainage to protect the integrity of the steps from potential water damage in the future. In the end, the really stunning set of steps did exactly what we intendedprovided a functional pathway, while becoming a focal point in an otherwise ordinary landscape. The steps are accentuated with LED's and look gorgeous at night so the client can enjoy the passageway at any hour. The was completed on time and under budget, so this was yet another delighted client with their outdoor space improved.
