About This Project

Johnson Point Residence Overview With Jeffrey B. Glander & Associates' oversight, the Johnson Point Residence landscaping designed a formal outdoor living space for the unique communities of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater and Thurston County. This expansive converted an extensive property into a tranquil, outdoor hideaway, a blend of natural and contemporary outdoor design. At the heart of the was a multi-tiered garden of assorted native and ornamental plant species, built to meet both experiential and ecological functions. Quality materials were carefully selected throughout the , such as local stone materials for landscaping walls and pathway constructions with both aesthetics and durability against heavy rainfall. The installation of a water feature was created to act as the centerpiece of the landscape. The feature was engineered to replicate the soothing sounds of a natural stream, which is aided by the use of boulders and ferns within the surrounding landscape. The benefit of both visual and audial experience supported the establishment of wildlife in the landscape, returning the ecosystem back to the residential site. The slope of the property was one of the challenges that had to be managed throughout the installation of the landscape. The slope meant that we had to install innovative grading methods to facilitate drainage for precipitation and maintain function. The flow from the entry, to the stream and backyard needed to undergo some reworking to unify each area of the property. Near the entry, we built stone steps and seating, along with pathways, as a pathway connection to the backyard. Overall, this produced a stunning and very functional outdoor living space for the client. A seating area surrounded by scented flowers and a highly-lit pathway was created. Overall, the Johnson Point Residence offered the combination of elements for relaxation, entertainment and contemplation Jeffrey B. Glander & Associates are proud to have delivered. Overall, the surpassed our client's expectations, while enhancing both the beauty of the residence and the life experiences of the client.
