About This Project

Puget Sound Country Home Constructed by Jeffrey B. Glander & Associates, the 'Puget Sound Country Home' is a beautiful example of landscaping in Thurston County. Comprehensive in scope and serving the communities of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater, the property required a design that mingled with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest but also provided the client with a relaxing outdoor environment. To begin, the called for a complete overhaul of the outdoor space, which included planting a variety of native crops that do well in the local zone. Materials for the were selected carefully so the stone we used for the walls and pathways was sourced locally so as to make them both durable, and blend in with the other elements of the landscape. A unique custom-designed water feature was also incorporated in the design to create peaceful sounds as it dripped through the area. One of the largest obstacles faced in the was the sloping topography, which required inventive grading and plant beds, to both provide proper drainage and prevent erosion. Our team successfully engineered, in both boulders and timber garden beds, a terracing appreciation that reflected purpose and aesthetics while artfully shaping the flatwork. The final product produced a truly beautiful outdoor space that exceeded the client's expectations with colorful planters, a fire pit area, and walking paths. The outdoor space now provides a gathering space family and friends. Ultimately, the craftsmanship and attention to detail produced by Jeffrey B. Glander & Associates demonstrated a value of quality that coalesced into a landscapes that reflected nature and tradition with the beauty and function that would enhance enjoyment for years. The appreciative client expressed delight at having a new slice of paradise.
