We had the pleasure of serving our vibrant communities of Arabi, Elmwood, Harahan, Jefferson, Kenner, Metairie, Metairie Terrace, New Orleans, River Ridge, Timberlane, French Quarter, and the Garden District with a residential property that was due for some serious rejuvenation. The started with a complete survey of the existing state that surrounded it: bushes gone wild, a boring lawn, strange hardscaping elements from many years prior. The client had a clear vision for their outdoor space and a budget to follow but our team still had the challenge of taking the space from start to finish. We chose the plants, high quality plants drought-resistant, to liven up the garden while being more sustainable. A major feature was the incorporation of native plant material so that the garden would do well in local growing conditions. With the use of natural stone pathways and custom retaining walls, we fashioned separate areas of functionality and beauty throughout the garden. A harmonious color palette complimented the home’s architecture, while an elegant water feature completed the design with the ability to create a soundscape that invites wildlife and immerses the homeowner in serenity. In carrying out the , we discovered the landscape would have unseen drainage problems, an issue we quickly addressed with a full drainage system, protecting the new ground for years to come. What we ended up with was absolutely amazing. A formerly drab yard turned into a plush paradise, complete with chic flower-beds, meticulously designed greenery, and spacious outdoor living areas. Exterior Designs, Inc. excelled at bringing the "Before and After" photos to life to provide the metamorphosis and show off the premium craftsmanship. Our happy customer said that in addition to improving the curb appeal of their home, their new landscape is great for having family over to relax!
