About This Project

Accents The 'Accents' landscaping , completed by Exterior Designs, Inc. under the expertise of Beverly Katz, left the space a mere place by which the owner could go their outdoor functions, to an elegant oasis that is not only functional, but artistic. The is located in and around New Orleans, in vibrant communities like Arabi, Elmwood, Harahan, and others, which is significant as it exemplifies the companys quality and design innovations. At the center of 'Accents' is a beautiful patio comprised of locally sourced, bluestone steps, which echoes the historic architecture of the Garden District. We also added detailed seating walls made from salvaged brick, reminiscent of the French Quarter to give the patio an even more inviting feel. To buffer the patio, native bushcare was planted including colourful hibiscus and fragrant gardenias, playful colour and smell inviting you to sit and linger. The site in of itself is limiting and required careful consideration to optimize for both space and aesthetics. We got around this with tiered flower beds and pathways placed to guide guests through a green tapestry as well as between various elevation levels, allowing a natural flow without much need for accessibility. Our clients were thrilled with the end product of their 'Accents' , which is now a secluded outdoor entertaining area and a space to bring family together. At night, ambient lighting fills the space creating an otherworldly environment that will surely leave everyone in its awe. Exterior Designs Inc was proud to create a classic landscape that compliments and encourages the use of the property as we become the preferred landscape company in Jefferson, Kenner, and surrounding area.
