Located in the Village of Birdsboro, PA, the Birdsboro is a reflection of the beauty and craftsmanship we at Earth, Turf, & Wood, Inc. bring to any landscaping . This particular sought to enhance the property's natural beauty while providing the homeowner with an outside space for occasional entertainment. The included a mixture of hardscape and softscape features, including a beautiful stone patio out of locally sourced bluestone as the anchor for the entertainment area. We combined this with a natural stone fire pit that provided a cozy gathering place for chilling out under the stars. The bluestone patio, fire pit, and seating area were surrounded by a deep palette of native plants and perennials chosen for their seasonal beauty and low effort, yet provided year-round interest. One of the unique challenges was the sloped property. We solved it with a tiered garden with retaining walls constructed out of rustic timber. These defined planting areas improved the aesthetic, but also provided better drainage and a more stable landscape. We were also able to incorporate a rain garden that retained and filtered runoff water to promote ecological balance and support the given wildlife habitat. The final outcome was a beautiful outdoor sanctuary that blended into the landscape. The homeowner was excited the transformation; the product of our attention to detail and complete construction quality.
