Kent Island Patio by Honeysuckle Nursery & Design Situated on the tranquil shores of Kent Island, this patio by Honeysuckle Nursery & Design took an unused part of the exterior and transformed it into an area that provides the family with places for both relaxation and entertainment. Honeysuckle Nursery & Design serves the lovely communities of Annapolis, Crofton, and Severna Park. The aimed to incorporate the beauty of the existing landscape into the client's goal of developing a functional yet beautiful part of the exterior space. The began with a thorough site evaluation given the challenges of the slope and existing properties in the area. Our talented crew was able to level the site well and preserve certain trees, maintaining the harmonizing elements of nature and design. Using durable materials sourced locally, we created large patio space with high-quality natural stone pavers that would be multi-functional and look beautiful. We also added soft-scape landscaping features with both native and flowering shrubs to make vibrant colors year-round. A custom-built fire pit of stone designed to withstand weather elements was included to inspire families to gather under the stars, and thoughtful light fixtures to soft-light the area at night to enhance the experience and increase safety. Throughout the , quality of materials and craftsmanship was apparent. Due to logistics, we worked directly with local vendors to get everything at the right time and every nuance of detail was properly included to meet our high standards. The result was a beautifully cohesive outdoor environment that the family would enjoy and that fit naturally in the existing landscape. The Kent Island Patio is now a family retreat, which allows for all different types of activities such as outdoor dining, family gatherings, and places to enjoy peace and quiet. Honeysuckle Nursery & Design enjoys creating outdoor spaces that exceed the client's expectations while raising the bar on outdoor living potential.
