Patio Living by Dr. Dan's Landscaping & Architectural Design Located centrally in Virginia Beach, the 'Patio Living' embodies the creative vision and quality craftsmanship of Dr. Dan's Landscaping & Architectural Design. This polished outdoor space has transformed the homeowner's lifestyle by offering a unique blend of function and design. Initially, the existing site was evaluated so that an appropriate design could be developed to complement the home's architecture. The design incorporated a large multi-level patio comprised of high-end porcelain pavers for their resilience and finish. Natural stone retaining walls provided functionality to separate seating and planting zones for an intimate and comfortable experience. One of the challenges we faced with the property was the slope of the area. We accommodated the slope by adapting our grading to provide drainage without sacrificing the overall visual impact. Native plant materials were incorporated into vibrant garden beds to ensure low-maintenance and sustainability. Exterior lighting was integrated to provide safe passage from the driveway to the back patio while highlighting the design of the landscape at night. The completed 'Patio Living' is a magnificent outdoor oasis that encourages relaxation and entertaining. An in ground fire pit and gathering seating truly invite friends and family as a rest to the lush garden backdrop. The homeowner has a wonderful functional and inviting outdoor space that flows seamlessly from the interior of their home. Dr. Dan's Landscaping & Architectural Design is excited to provide an outdoor living space that was envisioned by the owner and delivered by Dr. Dan's team.
