Arborvitae Hedge by Greenscape Lawn and Garden Service, Inc. The Arborvitae Hedge is a recent location that Greenscape Lawn and Garden Service, Inc. completed in the tranquil community of Edinboro. The company was approached to install a lush, evergreen privacy screen for the homeowners, using a row of the spectacular native plant, Thuja occidentalis, or the Arborvitae, allowing the aesthetic addition while bringing functional seclusion to the property. This consisted of the usual planning and installation while determining if the hedges would grow in the environment that it was to be planted. We used high-quality native arborvitae to use and these bred have thick foliage that would grow well in the local elements. The required careful soil preparation and we added organic compost to the soil for nutrient retention and growth. The also had the complication of an uneven terrain, which we levelled for the planting area and used a drip system for irrigation. The homeowners were thrilled with their new green wall, enhancing privacy while adding value to curb appeal. It really did enhance their outdoor living space.
