Contemporary Courtyard by McCumber Fine Gardens Overview This is located in downtown Santa Fe. It embodies the vision and commitment to quality that is at the core of McCumber Fine Gardens, which serves the beautiful regions of Cañada de los Alamos, Chupadero, Eldorado at Santa Fe, Glorieta, Lamy, Pojoaque, Santa Fe, and Tesuque. This took an underutilized outdoor area and transformed it into a spectacular outdoor living space. The design organically combines modern, straight lines and modern finishes with inspired natural components to design a space that serves as a complement to the natural landscape. Stand-out elements consist of a custom stone fire element as the focal point that is surrounded by comfortable built-in seating, perfect for gathering with friends and family under the stars of New Mexico. Our professional staff selected native drought-resistant plantings to provide sustainability and easy care while adding to the overall beauty of the space. The design presented several challenges, including the need to level existing uneven ground, and managing drainage issues that would protect the courtyard from rainfall. Our team was able to manage these challenges through careful planning, including employing a tiered design and hidden drainage systems to control water flow outside of the courtyard area. The fact that the elements should blend into the courtyard respectfully speaks to their durability in sustainability and makes functionality of the space a primary consideration. Quality materials used in this include locally-sourced flagstone, custom pavers, and woodwork that reflects true craftsmanship. The result is a beautiful and calm outdoor area that meets and exceeds our clients' vision, creating a place for relaxation and fun. McCumber Fine Gardens is proud of the design and its evolution through quality craftsmanship and contemporary design. Our client is beyond happy with their new outdoor living space transformation.
