About This Project

Path to Rustic Charm Native Landscapes Inc. is excited to share our newest , "Path to Rustic Charm," a beautiful in the heart of southeastern New York. The was created for a client with the desire for a peaceful walking path that relates to the natural beauty of the property while also providing outdoor usable space. Our design staff chose locally sourced bluestone (flagstone) and reclaimed wood to create a twisted path that meanders through lush gardens that invite the viewer to discover the plant diversity. The path is flanked by native plants and ornamental grasses that promote biodiversity and require little maintenance, enhancing the visual aesthetics and providing habitat for local wildlife. One major challenge we faced was overcoming the existing slope of the land. Our design team was tasked to grade the existing landform use. Our staff succeeded in developing a linear path that is safe to walk on and easily accessible while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding landscape. We also included custom rustic seating together with the path using sustainably sourced timber as functional stops along the way. The final product is a product that provides both natural beauty and functional use culminating in a delightful journey through the client's property. The client was very pleased with the and expressed appreciation for the design and how the beautifully complements the feeling of the home.
