Custom Stair Entrance by Native Landscapes Inc. At Native Landscapes Inc., we are happy to make beautiful vignettes in outdoor spaces, such as the , the "Custom Stair Entrance" located in Southeastern New York. This elaborate landscape consisted of creating a phenomenal stair case leading to the front of a beautiful house, which increased the functionality and beauty of the outdoor setting. Our team began by evaluating the site, which was a little challenging with a slope of the ground. To integrate with the natural landscape, we created a multi-tiered stair which weaved through beautiful vegetation. We selected local bluestone for the stair steps, and we used a natural stone riser, which is hand-laid to fit our design. The bluestone will hold up in the environment in which it was placed, while the natural hand-laid stone was rustic and offered a solid structure. The also included the use of many different types of light fixtures along the stairs for lighting and safety during nighttime use. We used many native varieties or varieties that are best suited to the climate. Most of the plants benefit in some way from the different seasons, with color and texture provided from ornamental grasses and foliage. The team completed the very closely to the initial schedule, while preparing for or adjusting to changing weather conditions, as well as reviewing and making final installation adjustments for proper grading. When complete, this stunning and custom-built stair entrance not only invites guests into the home, but also serves as a beautiful landscape feature that the home-owners can be very proud. When we left the site, the clients praised our craftsmanship and seamless integration of functionality and beauty. The "Custom Stair Entrance" has become a fixture of their property, and Native Landscapes is honored to promote outdoor living space use.
