- Alanton, Virginia Beach Wild Works of Whimsy, LLC recently completed transformative landscaping in Alanton, Virginia Beach. The objective was to enhance the homeowner's outdoor experience while allowing for the beauty of the site to shine through. Our team constructed a magnificent multi-layered garden with multiple types of native plants and colorful perennials that fit the coastal climate. The natural stone pathways provide an aesthetically pleasing element while offering durability. The addition of a water feature creates drama in the space while attracting wildlife and offering our clients a relaxing space to enjoy nature. Along the way there were many challenges with this site. The site was not at even grade, so it was important to grade the site, place retaining walls where needed to avoid erosion and allow for proper drainage. Our experienced team took care of each of these issues and incorporated high quality materials including locally sourced stone and sustainable mulch. The close of the resulted in a fantastic outdoor space which demonstrated our quality workmanship and attention to detail. Our clients were very happy with their outdoor space which produced beautiful aesthetics and functional space. There is a canopy of lush green plant life and the water feature emits beautiful sounds for our clients to relish while in their backyard.
