The team at Royal Creations Architecture and Landscaping transformed the exterior landscaping of an adorable home in Independence. The mission of the transformation centered on providing a usable, beautiful, and functional outdoor area that blended nicely with the native surroundings. This design included a complete overhaul of the front and back yards with premium quality materials and unique landscaping features. The first stage was to remove old landscaping and invasive plants in preparation for a fresh start. The homeowners selected a variety of native plants for the new installation that are sustainable and require low maintenance. The yard includes vibrant native wildflowers and ornamental grasses that flourish in a Kansas environment. Outdoor entertainment was also enhanced through the design and installation of a custom stone patio made of locally quarried bluestone. As a gathering place, the patio is an inviting area for friends and family to sit and relax. The design includes a brand-new, premium quality, and durable fire pit that allows outdoor enjoyment all year long. A custom water feature creates a gorgeous focal point in the yard, while also providing a habitat for local wildlife. The parents of the family love observing the local wildlife, and it fits in perfectly with the new landscaping. The majority of the obstacles faced throughout the included uneven terrain and limited access for large machines to remove landscaping materials. Our team problem-solved the challenges through creativity, utilizing hand tools and alternative processes to deliver accurate installations. The finished was nothing less than phenomenal at the time of completion. The homeowners were extremely pleased with the transformation of their outdoor living area and expressed their delight in the blend of beauty and functionality. The newly landscape yard serves as a therapeutic escape, while also being a vibrant gathering space for friends and family.
