Leon Garden We are thrilled to share the 'Leon Garden' we recently completed for clients in the heart of Scappoose. | Alyse Lansing Garden Design Their vision for this imposing landscaping was to design a peaceful experience that compliments the natural elements in the area. It has a well-thought-out design with a variety of native plants that are sustainable, and low maintenance. Cascading ornamental grasses reach out and sway in the breeze, colorful perennials provide summer blooms, and winter interest is built with herbaceous plants still standing in the landscape. Hand cut flagstone from a local quarry weaves through the garden, inviting you to discover different areas and connecting outdoor spaces. One of the major difficulties encountered on the was the non-flat nature of the site. To solve this our team had to create tiered garden beds with retaining walls built with natural stone creating beautiful gardens, better drainage, and a more stable growing medium for the plants. By strategically positioning these elements we could create separate spaces for relaxation and entertainment like with the fire pit area with soft and plush seating. With the evergreen, we also added a beautiful water element that not only shortens the wildlife from the area but also provides a relaxing sound of splashing water. We use eco-friendly irrigation systems so that each plant survives while consuming every drop of water. After completing, Leon Garden has become a part of the place that they enjoy so much that the client said it's the combination of beauty and functionality that they love the most.
