Seaside Perennial Garden Completed by: Creative Landscapes, Inc. Situated directly on the coast, the 'Seaside Perennial Garden' is a perfect representation of the mission of Creative Landscapes, Inc. This vibrant , located on the beach of Myrtle Beach, is a colorful assortment of native perennials that were perennials chosen to be grown in the coastal environment, enhancing the natural beauty of the surrounding environment. The team of professionals selected a wide selection of materials which encompassed native coastal plants like Black-eyed Susans, Purple Coneflower, and Sea Oats. In addition to bring vibrant color and texture each season, the flowers attract a diverse population of pollinators. Organic mulch and locally sourced soil amendments were used to improve soil, support plant growth and demonstrate a commitment to an environmentally sustainable approach to plant selection. A challenge that needed to be addressed is the nature of coastal landscapes; primarily sandy soil and salinity. Our team, through a series of soil conditioning techniques and planting protocols, was able to change the future landscape to a vibrant garden space. To highlight the beauty of the garden space, we designed a charming pathway made of natural stone pavers to meander through the garden. It works to both invite the homeowner and their guests to experience the garden while creating functional space. The garden path is lined with ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs to enhance the beauty of the garden and provide a comfortable transition to the beach. In summary, the overall result was a breathtaking perennial garden that adds curb appeal and a tranquil retreat experience for the clients. The clients expressed happiness with the design process and recognized how the design and garden blended seamlessly with the beach environment. They proudly told others Creative Landscapes, Inc. provided sensible thought and solutions, along with quality workmanship.
