Poolside on a Hillside The 'Poolside on a Hillside' , completed by Winland's Complete Landscaping Service, was a comprehensive outdoor living for a particular customer in the beautiful area around Zanesville. When you build on a gently sloping hillside, you must work with the topography and determine how to accommodate the pennies of your vision while working with the slope, eventually leading to stunning views of the countryside. Our team used the topography to help decide the best way to build an infinity-edge pool with beautiful surroundings. We placed a durable travertine patio surrounding the pool, serving a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution as well. Then, we made sure to place some lush native plantings in the design because they thrive in the local climate with little care, keeping your oasis sustainable. Next, to ensure the wall's durability and a rustic flair, we built a custom stone retaining wall made of local limestone. We also consulted our landscape engineers to develop a water drainage plan to tie into our grading and French draining. Therefore, not only would the wall remain sturdy for many years to come, but the hillside would remain intact. Ultimately, we created a beautiful atmosphere for relaxation and entertaining friends and family. While building the pool and patio, we also included a fire pit area with landscape lighting to enjoy your evenings outside. Our customer was ecstatic to see their dreams come to fruition and how important the quality of detail and craft of the winland Complete Landscaping Service is to our work.
