Perennial Peanut by Council Growers Sod Farm Nestled in Riverview, Council Growers Sod Farm was recently able to complete the 'Perennial Peanut' landscaping , converting a traditional yard into an extension of the ecosystem with green living ground cover. This highlights our commitment to quality and sustainability using the innovative property and nitrogen-fixing ground cover of the Perennial Peanut and its beautiful yellow flowering sites. The scope included the installation of over 2000 square feet of Perennial Peanut ground cover which is a perennial that grows in one seemingly unmanageable area. It was chosen for its low maintenance habit and drought resistance which is great when considering our region (Apollo Beach, Balm, and Sun City Center). In addition to the living ground cover, our team also installed decorative stone borders to define the area aesthetically and functionally. Certainly, one of the challenges for the site was an unlevel terrain which required the area to be graded and amended for proper drainage and a healthy growing zone. Our team overcame this challenge with thoughtful preparation and implementation of the landscaping plan. Upon completion of the landscaping , the client was ecstatic the results, the ground cover seemed vibrant, alive, and beautiful, and contributed to ecosystem beautification, attracted biodiversity, and provided a water-conserving landscape. The 'Perennial Peanut' demonstrated Council Growers Sod Farm's commitment to quality construction and innovation of sustainable landscaping, which will contribute lasting value to the community in Riverview and regional sections such as Sun City and Apollo Beach.
