Southern Gardener 2018 Winter Container Plans Southern Gardener presents our latest , A Southern Gardener proudly presents 'Winter Container Arrangements' to warm the dreary, frozen (and melting!) landscapes of Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Shores and Grosse Pointe Woods. The included developing beautiful, seasonal curb appeal displays that could withstand the winter elements. We carefully chose an assortment of live plants such as pine, spruce, and boxwood to create a green backdrop that will last long after the wedding day. We added bright winter flowers such as pansies and ornamental kale that pop against the white snow. For an added dimension of visual excitement, we chose artisan planters made of durable weather-resistant ceramic and rustic farm-shed wood for durability and flair. Choosing varieties of plants that could survive the differing winter conditions was one of the main things that became a challenge for us. We did a lot of research on each item to make sure that not only did it have a pretty design, it was also hardy through the winter climates. The culmination of the planning and work was a stunning success. It was great to see the smiling faces of our clients as we got their entry ways transformed into sophisticated yet seasonal displays of Doorstep Holiday Cheer. A Southern Gardener's beautiful designs and their expert craftsmanship in garden maintenance emerged form the beauty of each property rising with ease over the beautiful gardens to impress so many people who visited them.
