The Rock Wall Garden by A Southern Gardener A Southern Gardener unveils its Rock Wall Garden, a stunning landscaping that strikes a perfect balance between natural and built space that seamlessly intertwines functionality, communal space and beauty at home in the heart of Grosse Pointe. This was specifically designed to create an outdoor living environment for our clients in Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Shores, and Grosse Pointe Woods. The Rock Wall Garden includes a beautiful dry-stacked stone wall made of locally-sourced fieldstone which will stand the test of time while looking natural. The wall here in not just a functional needs but is also a beautiful feature wall & is brilliantly blended with landscape. We combined extensive experience with the challenges of a site where the grades varied highly, turning the difficulties into tiered planting beds where a variety of plants could grow, creating depth and interest. The garden continues with a diverse spectrum of native plants such as ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and hassle-free shrubs. These choices bolster the aesthetic of the space while also supporting biodiversity and sustainability. For instance, to really embellish the design, we installed soft garden lighting to create an ambiance accentuating the rock wall accentuating the greenery to bring a welcoming outdoor ambiance to evening gatherings. The end result is a stunning Rock Wall Garden that combines practicality and works of art. Our Clients are over the moon with their new space a place they can unwind and entertain! This was more than just another upgrade to the outdoors it was the building of a legacy for Grosse Pointe. The end result was achieved through a commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail at every level, a focus that A Southern Gardener is committed to upholding.
