Retaining Walls: An Exciting Element of Landscape Design Our recent at Prunin Arboriculture & Landscape d “Retaining Walls: An Exciting Element of Landscape Design” was an exciting that transformed a clients’ outdoor space into an incredible landscape design. We work in the beautiful communities of Aliso Viejo, Coto De Caza, and beyond, designing innovative landscapes that are functional, beautiful, and appealing. Our blended retaining walls into this design to accentuate the topography and to give vital structure to the surroundings to minimize erosion. To give ample durability while complimenting nature, we used high-quality stone and interlocking blocks that were locally sourced from the area. The materials all provided beautiful texture and colors that coordinated with existing plants and buildings on the property. During our work on the property, we discovered there were concerns the landscaping drying due to the topography and drainage. We developed a design that, within the walls, would have an effective drainage system in place to manage water as it accumulated to reduce damage. While it addressed client concerns, it enhanced the functionality of the landscaping. Once we finished the , the client was pleased with the new focal point of the garden and the walls complimented the plantings and pathways around them. The client gladly noted that the value of their property was not only elevated aesthetically but functionally in a manner beyond their expectations. The is a true testament to outstanding work in building and functional landscape design.
