North Barrington Outdoor Living Space Poul's Landscaping & Nursery, Inc. is delighted to present the 'North Barrington Outdoor Living Space' a landscape design realizing a new outdoor experience for our clients in North Barrington. This illustrates our commitment to quality building and design. The visual anchor for the distinctive area features an assembled stone patio of natural flagstone, which provides a rustic, yet resilient surface that will last for many years. The natural stone on the patio was matched to an outdoor fire pit. This area features an attractive aspect that can be used for entertaining guests or for a quiet evening spent outside, gazing up into the stars. We designed and planted a garden to complete the space with a varied palette of native plants and ornamentals that bloom throughout the year, resulting in a vibrant outdoor experience. Eco-friendly mulch accents the garden area while adding moisture retention quality, allowing our clients to enjoy their new outdoor space with plant health and less maintenance in mind. The site's slope presented the greatest design challenge. The landscaping team executed a tiered landscape design that worked elegantly with the drainage, and created three separate areas for outdoor enjoyment: relaxation, dining, and gardening. The locally sourced boulders were laid to create natural retaining walls that ensured structural integrity while continuing to harmonize with the natural setting. The site included lighting features to accent the fire pit and pathway for enjoyment in both day and nice. The final demonstrates an irresistible outdoor living space that accommodates our clients' needs and exceeds their expectations for use and design in a functional outdoor experience.
