We began by meticulously evaluating the existing landscape, which presented an array of challenges - from uneven topography to limited access to the water's edge. Our skilled team put together a plan that combined lively aesthetics and landscape function, with an added layer of ensuring the new garden would adapt to its natural surroundings. We selected the highest quality, local sourced materials - including flagstone pathways, native plants, and mulch - for durability and sustainability. The design included several elements: in particular, a stone pathway that wound through the garden and led to an intimate seating area where clients would be able to enjoy the lake view with ease. Additionally, we added an exciting array of perennial flowers with unique seasonal blooms throughout the year, to add color and interest to the garden. One of the most striking aspects of this was the introduction of a custom natural stone retaining wall, which served to add visual pizzazz while controlling and fixing the water runoff that protected the newly built garden. Our team was able to navigate from uneven topography to successfully grading the wall while addressing both structural and aesthetic principles. The finished garden was an absolutely fantastic transformation. Quality, thoughtfulness, and sustainability were at the forefront of the design, and it truly showed through in the result.
