Bocce Court by Zach's Lawn & Landscaping Zach's Lawn & Landscaping is excited to share our most recent a beautiful bocce court that will add both sophistication and leisure to a private residence in Fairway, Kansas. This reflects our pursuit of quality execution while also incorporating aspects of play and leisure, serving clients in the greater Kansas City area including Lake Quivira, Leawood, and Overland Park. The bocce court was thoughtfully created using a high-grade crushed oyster shell playing surface that enhances the playing serves and seamlessly transitions the space into the existing contours of the natural site. Surrounding the courts was dense, drought tolerant plant materials, which not only adds to the aesthetic but to the ongoing required maintenance to keep the area beautiful. One of the challenges of this site was the sloping quality of the property, which was addressed by constructing a custom stone retaining wall from local stone. This addressed the ground stabilization aspect of a , while also introducing a rugged charm to the overall elements of the backyard. We also added ambient lighting around the perimeter of the court for evening play. Lighting provides for a beautiful outdoor gathering space for family and friends. Upon completion of the , the client expressed their satisfaction with the transformation of their backyard and creating a vibrant gathering space. The bocce court came to life in a way that authentically reflects its intended use as a centerpiece for socialization and outdoor activity.
