Cape Cod Landscaping by Zach's Lawn & Landscaping Zach's Lawn & Landscaping is pleased to introduce our 'Cape Cod' , a spectacular landscaping and construction designed to capture the serene elegance of coastal living in this home, located in the heart of Kansas. Serving only Fairway, and Kansas City, and Lake Quivira and beyond to some degree, we took on a vision to create a peaceful oasis that celebrates the classic look of New England. This included many spectacular features, including a beautifully designed upscale stone path that curls through the landscape and into a gathering place with a fire pit. The stone path included locally sourced bluestone and reclaimed granite to lend both durability and style. For seating around the fire pit we designed seating of sustainably sourced cedar that is both comfortable and functional. One distinct challenge on this property was the substantial slope of the entire site. As a response, we designed tiered garden beds to step down with the slope and provide visual dimension to the landscape. The garden beds were filled with a mix of native vegetation and colorful perennial plantings to help increase biodiversity while also providing a plan that would require little yearly maintenance in order to remain vibrant scenic year-round. We included lawn shrubs and ornamental grasses that were native to the region and carefully selected so they would thrive. The result is spectacular, a natural beauty and function that all parties, especially the client, are thrilled with. The 'Cape Cod' helps enhance curb appeal while vastly improving an outdoor space for family events and private outdoor time.
