About This Project

BnB courtyard Artscape Land Design Here at Artscape Land Design, we have proudly reimagined a small bed and breakfast in the Metairie area into a beautiful courtyard that brings comfort and nature together. We relish the character of this establishment in our beautifully landscaped homes served within Elmwood, Jefferson, Kenner, Metairie, Metairie Terrace, New Orleans, and River Ridge. The showcased a soothing palette of native botanical species, gracious rock walkways, as well as cozy sitting areas. The materials were carefully selected, though we used natural flagstone for the walkways, reclaimed wood for the trellises, not just beautiful choices but also durable and local. In this case, our design team had to make the most of its limited space through some creative design without losing the concept of airy feel and functionality. We aimed to bring a colorful landscape with year-round interest by including a striking selection of flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and seasonal blooms. Taking pride and centre of the beautiful courtyard lies a hand-made water feature, adding a sound of soft flow for an enriched experience for guests. We also included adaptive lighting throughout the terrace to emphasize elements of the landscaping during the evening, creating the courtyard into a cozy refuge after dark. The end product was far more than our client had in mind, a stunning vision for an outdoor space that invited coziness and enjoyment. The addition of a new outdoor courtyard and fantastic new space on the exterior of the building has made this bed and breakfast a popular stop in the region, where guests can chillout and relax.
