Creation of Natural Carolina Mountain Stone The 'Creation of Natural Carolina Mountain Stone', is a beautiful creation of nature and craftsmanship, completed by Wilson's Natural Landscaping, LLC. Located centrally within Concord, NC, this completely redefined the site from an ordinary backyard to an extraordinary outdoor living area, marrying well-chosen stone selections with native plants. The has a uniquely designed stone path constructed from locally sourced Carolina mountain stone, which travels through native shrub plantings and flowering perennial plants, enhancing the naturally beautiful aesthetics of the property while promoting local biodiversity. The hand-built stone fireplace, surrounded by rustic reclaimed wood benches perfect for seating and family comfort adds to the outdoor living experience that invites families and guests to gather around it. One of the challenges of this was the steep slope of the property, which required engineered tiered landscaping solutions. Wilson's Natural Landscaping, LLC team executed tiered landscaping methods with retaining walls positioned at aesthetic slopes while maintaining erosion control with stone to create visually stunning levels. This system not only aided in the stabilizing of this landscaping solution but also added dimension and depth to the site. Additionally, we completed the installation of a drip irrigation system that consumes less water and ensured the plantings were vibrant and green during the dry periods of the year. Every detail of this was painstakingly selected and designed from stone surfaces to native plants, and the design intended to be aesthetically pleasing while requiring less maintenance.
