About This Project

The Ames Residence project was a transformative endeavor aimed at infusing warmth and character into a contemporary white and gray space that lacked a cohesive design. The clients, having recently settled into their new home, faced the challenge of creating an inviting atmosphere that reflected their personal style. Our approach began with a thorough assessment of the existing environment, focusing on enhancing the aesthetic appeal while maintaining functionality. To harmonize the starkness of the original palette, we introduced soft butter yellow tones throughout the dining area. This choice was inspired by the warm hues found in the maple flooring, ensuring that the new elements would seamlessly blend with the existing features. Drapes, throw pillows, and an area rug were strategically selected in this inviting shade, each piece contributing to a unified theme that promoted comfort and relaxation. The addition of thoughtfully curated artwork further enriched the space, adding layers of visual interest and personal expression. One of the standout features of this project is the new dining table set, finished in a rich Java tone. This table not only serves as a functional centerpiece but also elevates the overall aesthetic of the dining room. The design includes a self-storing leaf, making it adaptable for both intimate family dinners and larger gatherings, perfectly balancing practicality with sophistication. The craftsmanship involved in selecting and assembling these elements ensured a high-quality finish that complements the transitional style of the home.
