Linda Mesa Ripley Design Group is proud to present the 'Linda Mesa' , a dramatic landscape improvement that captured the aesthetics and functional elements our clients in Contra Costa were looking for. Located on the beautiful hillsides of Alamo, this design embodies our quality and creativity. At Linda Mesa, we did not shy away from the challenge of working on a slope. We created terraced garden beds that visually enhanced the grade, but also improved soil retention and drainage. Using locally-sourced stone for the retaining walls aligned this landscape with its natural eco-systems, including textures that tie into the surroundings. We also implemented plant choices native to the area to increase biodiversity and conserve water. The living space outdoors expanded through a custom patio, which provided the necessary hardscape elements with durable paving and integrated seating for entertaining. The fire pit made from artisanal stone allows for intimate nights under the stars, complemented by the lighting that surrounds the paths and landscape. The presented challenges with uneven ground and limited access for machinery, but through innovative design and careful planning, we turned those challenges into opportunities to establish a beautiful, multi-level garden. The outcome is a vibrant and inviting landscape that captures the client's vision and enhances the value of the home. The home owners are now able to enjoy a beautiful and peaceful outdoor oasis that reflects their lifestyle, through the craft and attention to detail from Ripley Design Group.
