Champagne Point Waterfront Located on the beautiful shores of Western Washington, Champagne Point Waterfront by The Watershed Company is a premier example of natural beauty and creative design. This remarkable transformation of a landscape sought to enhance views of the incredible water while establishing a tranquil outdoor retreat for the client. The highlights a few important elements, specifically, a multi-level terrace system designed with sustainably sourced cedar, which integrated beautifully into the natural topography. This three-tiered terrace functionally provided views of the panoramic waterfront while accommodating ample space for outdoor entertaining. The perennial plant palette is comprised of native plantings including flowers and grasses, arranged to enhance local biodiversity, while providing color and texture throughout the entire year. Among the challenges was the management of the site's steep slope. The Watershed Company employed erosion control measures, such as building a strong drainage system in addition to constructed natural stone retaining walls for landscape stabilization and rustic charm that fits in context with the environment. The end result is an outdoor space that is peaceful and elegant. A winding path of permeable pavers takes you past lush gardens filled with colorful perennials, ornamental grasses, and native shrubs to embrace a sustainable ecosystem. Cozy seat areas for the client and guests offers a rest while simultaneously enjoying the breathtaking sunsets over the water.
