Lake Washington Residence Lake Washington Residence by Berger Partnership. Berger Partnership creates great landscapes found throughout the Pacific Northwest, especially in beautiful Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, Medina, Mercer Island, Seattle, Yarrow Point. An expansive lakeside property was turned into a serene oasis where natural beauty mingled with functional outdoor living spaces. The site has parts that are steep, so our design team had the task of making sure we kept the house layout following the topography as much as possible while also maintaining the incredible views from the top down to Lake Washington. Designed with local plants and durable materials, we designed a garden that not only suits the area but also flourishes in the local climate. Highlights include a winding stone sinuous path lined with locally sourced basalt that makes your wondering across the property seamless, natural and inviting. The custom fire pit area that is surrounded by native ferns and ornamental grasses, provides a lovely gathering place for family and friends, and the multi-leveled deck of composite building material offers a perfect venue for enjoying the beautiful sunsets, at the water's edge. Our integration of stormwater runoff mitigation through rain gardens demonstrates our dedication to sustainable landscaping materials and practices. In addition, a colorful mix of perennials and evergreens were carefully chosen to provide year-round interest and ensure that the landscape was a canvas bringing forth color throughout the seasons. The end result not only met the clientele expectations but also provides a perfect combination of aesthetic & utility, a true representation of lakeside living. The Lake Washington Residence is more than a landscaping it's a lifestyle and we are excited to have been a part of piecing together this puzzle.
